Our first pony was Capricorn Flashy Dandy. We had bred and shown Appaloosas for 20 years. Friends of ours talked us into buying a spectacular black and white stallion and a couple of mares. Within a few short yeares we were hooked on the brilliance and beauty of these magmificent little equine and changed our direction with horses. We began raising babies and showing in the then very small Shetland show circuit of the Pacific Northwest. It didn't take long for the breed to begin a renaissance of popularity.
We cannot say enough about the excitement we share with many other American Shetland Pony enthusiasts all over the country. They are small enough for anyone to enjoy and yet have the power to excel in many specialized events. Their willingness and intelligence should put to rest any notions of resistance to good training.
It is our plan to continue to raise beautiful, fun American Shetlands with elegance and the ability to achieve great success. Come visit us sometime and get to experience these little guys in the beautiful foothills of the Coast Range mountains 30 minutes from downtown Portland, Oregon.
Pictures say it all. If you have never seen a Miniature Australian Shepherd in person, you have missed an opportunity to witness a fabulous, entertaining, devoted, intelligent companion. We have just finished raising our second litter of gorgeous puppies. Thanks to our beginning with Brenda from Rafter Bottle Dogs of Beavercreek and to the continued support of Ruth Vanderhoof of Pockets Mini Aussies, we could not have had so much fun with our dogs over the past 5 years.
Our puppoes are raised with high quality food, constant attention, trips to horse shows, and lots of company with people and other dogs. We also test our puppies for eye issues, hernias, the MDR 1 gene, and have them evaluated at 8 weeks by Pat Hastings of Dog Folk Enterprises (www.dogfolk.com). We let our puppies be adopted at 8 weeks of age or older with a 1 year health guarantee.
